Frankfurt am Main - Bibelhaus

Dear Friend
the Bibelhaus http://www.bibelhaus-frankfurt.de/ of Frankfurt, not to be confused with the Judisches Museum: http://www.juedischesmuseum.de/ ,  projects the visitor in the magic world of the ancient Holy Land, the cradle of Heraism and Christianism. By means of image projections, original and reproduced artifacts, and architectural reconstructions, many aspects of the ancient religious life of this land are proposed to the visitor. Of particular interest a remarkable collection of ancient papyrus writings. Please, have a look to the images and tell me your opinion.

Frankfurt am Main - Dommuseum and Haus am Dom

Dear Friends
in visiting the Dom of Frankfurt the attention of Jean-Luc and me was attracted by the Dom Museum: http://www.dommuseum-frankfurt.de/ and the haus am Dom: http://www.hausamdom.bistumlimburg.de/index.php?_1=120002 . The first mainly concentrates on liturgical artifacts of hyper height quality, the second complete the first by presenting not only liturgical artifacts but also many other religious artifacts, both the two affirm the richness of the Church. The following images permit to you to appreciate said richness. Any comment from your side is welcomed.

Frankfurt am Main

Dear Friends
on Sunday 17/02/2013 took place the second excursion of our M.Polo Club. Aim of the excursion was the visit of Frankfurt am Main. The town was severely damaged by the bombing of the last WW II and today it presents the contardictory aspect, common to many German towns including Munich, of the mix of modern and old. The modern represented by the new glass-block skyscrapers and the old represented by the rebuilt or preserved old hauses. In addition, peculiatr to Frankfurt is an appreciable character of dynamic financial - industrial town projected toward the future. Of interest in the town the Dom with two imposant organs, many other churches and museums. I hope that the following images make you aware of said aspect and character of Frankfurt.

Tübingen - Stadt Museum

Dear Friends
the Stadt Museum of Tübingen was not in the program of our M.Polo excursion. However, having the time Jean-Luc and me decided to visit it. The Stadt Museum:
http://www.tuebingen.de/stadtmuseum/7697.html
hosts permanent collections of artifacts and images of the past time of the town, as well as, at the moment, the temporary exhibition Tierische Belebt - Wilde Tiere in der Stadt. This exhibition surprised the visitor because it presents animals, which, although normally unobserved, live together with us in the towns. Any remark from your side is welcomed.
