2014 ==> 1914

Dear Friends
I think that in these days of reconciliation and peace that close this year 2014, a though must go to all those who were torn to their peaceful occupations and to their families and thrown on the battlefields of the WW I in the far 1914. A way to remind their suffering and their sacrifice is to consider the relics arrived to us of that time. The following images coming from the Deutsches Museum Flugwerft in Schleißheim:

and from the Deutsches Museum in Munich: http://www.deutsches-museum.de/  show you, whithout I think necessity of long exegesies, some instruments coming from innovation and bearers of death ready for use at that time. Any comment from your side is welcomed.
Happy 2015 to your all

Exploring abstract territories

Dear Friends

Recently I was invited to attend the opening of an art exhibition in Valletta, inside an old building which now houses the Fortress Builders Fortifications Interpretation Centre.

I just invite you to follow Rev Prof Peter Seracino Inglott's advice in front of abstract expressionist works of art: simply stand before them, be quiet and observe.

As mentioned by one art critic, "Chircop is known for the unwavering quality of his abstract compositions that never cease to leave an indelible impact on those who see them. And this whether one is standing before a work produced in the 1980s or 2013 – such vigorous creations illustrating a love for life and for this beautiful world." (Chircop is now over 80 years old).

The exhibition was inaugurated by HE Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, the President of Malta.

Exploring concrete territories

Dear Friends
because I travelled on the Trans-Siberian Railway: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Siberian_Railway
now some time ago, as I knew its opening, I ran to visit Transib:
http://www.deutsches-museum.de/verkehrszentrum/ausstellungen/sonderausstellungen/
at the Verkehrzentrum of the Deutsches Museum, here in Munich. In looking to the Transib images, I lived again the interest and the surprise that characterised my travel in which many voyagers of different ethnicities, seen me as a foreigners, willingly entertained me, sometime in unknown languages, about various themes, offering me generously their vodka:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wodka . Because the value of the Russian Ruble:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_ruble recently decreased with respect to the Euro
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro it is the good time to visit Russia and to travel on the Trans-Siberian, better, I think, if your journey is organised by a travel agency.
Merry Christmas & Happy 2015
