I am not Faust

Dear Friends
not foreseen, today morning, due to the late opening of a shop, I had two hours to spend with Goethe's Faust at the Kunsthalle here in Munich. Together we explored the various, consequent art impacts, see the images, of his intimately connected ageing, sensuality, love, soul, diabolical behaviour, beauty, infanticide, witches' bacchanal. My heartfelt congratulations to the Faust managers and my deep thanks for their permission to acquire the images I invite you to enjoy.

Apophysis

Dear Friends
Apophysis, not to be confused with  Hypophisys or Apophis , is much more than an Icon, not to be confused with Icon , that I found among many other on my computer screen. Why it was there I don't know, or better I don't remember. However, as you can see from the images it is a key that you too could use to enter the worlds of Abstractism and Informalism . In case of interest, try you too Apophysis and tell me your opinion.

Palm lamb

Dear Friends
my various commitments let me few time to dedicate to the kitchen. But, as you have seen, I like eat well, tasty and not waste time in cooking (see in this blog:   Mr Chef , Mr Chef Bigoli , Lamb tajine , Pan boulgogi , Rustic saussages , Octapus in potatoes ). This is the Palm lamb receipe:
In a frying pan add Palm oil . Let the oil fry at living fire. In the same time, cut onion, garlic, green peppers in slices in a quantity sufficient for the participants. Add the slices in the pan and let fry without cover, mixing and turning every 2-3 minutes. Add palm dates, dried figs cutted in slices and pine nuts. After about 10 minutes, add the lamb ribs in quantity sufficient for the participants. Let cook still 10 minutes, mixing and turning every 3-4 minutes. Before to serve, flavour with Cajun judiciously or generously according to your preference. Serve in adequate dishes.
Preparation time: about 25 min. Proposed wine: Amarone della Valpolicella .

Spiral ambassadors

Dear Friends
I am just back from Verona in which I passed a formidable weekend. Many times I spent with pleasure my time in the magnificent Mercato Vecchio (Old Market) admiring the Romanesque Palazzo della Ragione, the Ragione flight of steps stair and the Torre dei Lamberti, alredy showing brushstrokes of Gothic. The names betray a commerce and justice usage of the complex, the dates MCCCCXXXXVII and MDCXXXI the Middle Ages. Ancient complex, certainly yes! But much more than I believed because of the spiral  Ammonoids on the floor ambassadors of Devonian
