Korea flowers - 2

Dear Friends

not particularly cultivated or specifically attended, magnificent flowers I seen everywhere in my Korean journey. It was as they discretely accompanied me, proudly showing their delicate colours and fragile shapes (see the images), announcing further Korean wonders.

Seokguram

Dear Friends

immersed in a forest, that give the advantage to explore it, Seokguram welcomed me by a small amphytrion, not to be confused with the legendary Amphitryon. Not particularly perturbed by my presence, leaving me, he indicated the direction of the entrance. Small in apparence, Seokguram host in a soft atmosphere pervaded with aromas an enormous, meditative Buddha image of his acquired, interior, deep serenity.

혁부, 革部

Dear Friends

I am sure that many of you, as me too, we have heard with excitement the Japanese Taiko ( (太鼓) drum music, but many, as me too, we have never heard the Korean Hyeokbu (혁부, 革部) equally exciting drum music. At the Bulguksa, I have heard 혁부, 革部 in a mystical atmosphere. I ensure you that it was a real pleasure to meditate, closed eyes, drived by 혁부, 革部 up to the night. Comments are welcomed.

Gyeongju Bulguksa

Dear Friends

it is always interesting to visit Buddhist temples. Although the visits are normally touristic and hasty, each temple communicates aspects and gives hints about sacred religious concepts. That of Bulguksa (see the images) offers a longer Templestay in its guesthouse which is good for deeper understandings and real time participations to religious ceremonies, like that of the 185 full Prostrations, in the heart of the night.
