Guatiza

Dear Friends

Guatiza is not something of noticeable in Lanza, if it were not for its  Jardin de Cactus (see in this blog: Jardin Majorelle 2) one of the best artwork of Cesar Manrique the talented painter, philosopher and architect of Lanza. The number of Cactuses I did not count, I paid attention to shapes and colours. Yes, colours, because, although in Winter  they flourish (see the images) for astounding the visitor. Comments are welcomed.

Dear Friends

we are certainly not aware of all the life that lives under our feet or tires. But soon or late some portion manifests itself (see in this blog: Ants kingdoms), also at Lanza. I am therefore grateful to my S9700 for providing its evidence (see the images). Indifferent about my visit, always operative, never tired, only a red head on a black abdomen distinguish them from other I seen.

walking is the best way to have rest and enjoy Lanza. It allows quietly to meet relics of ancient and recent past as del Àguila fortified building, bastion and church against sea menaces, Nuestra Senora del Carmen, windmills and the Pechiguera sea references (see the images). All this indicates a Lanzarotians moral and spiritual tension for surviving. Comments are welcomed.

Dear Friends

Lanza, as it is named, fascinated me still before landing from a foggy and cold Munich. Volcanic cradle on the Columbus way on the Atlantic. Visited thanks to the hospitality of Livio a retired one of my colleagues. Cozy, notwithstanding its development, the cars and the winter tourists, it still offer many trasures to discover. My only suggestion, look in internet for direct flights on the sites of low cost airlines and flight there.
