Ljubljana Events - 6 - Botanicni Vrt

Dear friends
the day after the Conference in Ljubljana I decided to take som rest in visiting the University Botanic Garden: http://www.botanicni-vrt.si/ . There, really it is possible to enjoi a peaceul atmosphere, similar to that of the Botanic Garden of the Daoulas Abbey in Brittany (FR) - see this blog:

characterised by (for those familiar with th patent's jargon) the presence of common and rare vegetal creatures. See please the images and enjoi this athmosphere you too.

Ljubljana Events - 5 - Kolo Wheel 5200 Let / Years

Dear Friends
I was delight in walking in Ljubljana to remark the temporary exhibition Kolo Wheel 5200 Let / Years:
http://www.mgml.si/en/city-museum-of-ljubljana-377/city-museum-of-ljubljana/future-exhibitions-523/wheel-5-200-years/ at the City Museum: http://www.mgml.si/en/city-museum-of-ljubljana-377/ .The exhibition presents a timber and a charriot axle and wheel 5200 years old discovered in the marshes near Ljubljana. Interesting also other objects mainly of Roman times discoved during the recent excavations for a new, not far, underground parking. Said axle, wheel and objects reflects a panorama of peaceful, laborious and well organised cultures. Any comment from our side is welome.

Ljubljana Events - 5 - Podobe Balkana

The exhibition represents a successful effort by the most important museums of the today's Balkanic countries and UNESCO presenting through images and objects the complex and intermixed reality (peoples, languages, politics, economies, religions) of the Balkans in the last three centuries. Ljubljana Events - 4 - Slovenski Olimpijski Heroji

Dear Friends
not far from the venue of the Conference in Ljubljana, it is possible to visit the open air exhibition Slovensi Olimpijski Heroji from the photographer Ales Fevzer: http://www.alesfevzer.com/slo/index.asp .
I am sure that the aim of Alex is not to celebrate possible Slovenian national sport glories but to present the moments in which the succes take form and manifest itself. This is in my opinion eident fom the following images.

Ljubljana Events - 3 - MG + Museum

Dear Friends
let me say that I was delight in visiting the Modern Gallery and Museum: http://www.mg-lj.si/
in finding it renewed with artifacts of many new artists and the permission to take images (without flash). Because to understand the messages behind each artifact is not always easy, I decided, in visiting the MG + Museum, to let the artifacts themselves to influence me as communication way. Now, I can say to have received from them many suggestions about the souls, all non conformist but somtime religious, of the producers. Please, have a look to the images nd tell me your opinion.

Ljubljana Events - 2 - Tanja Balac

Dear Friends
of interest at the Grad of Ljubljana is also the exhibition Spatial Distances of  Tanja Maric, who, in my opinion, with her art suggests not only to pay attention to possibly distant, confused static landscapes and moving peoples but also to accept these as an invitation to overcome said distances and having a superior knowledge of them.
