Fairy Lights of Landerneau

Dear Friends
arriving in Landerneau last year, I was a bit disappointed in seen few Christmas lights and decorations. We can discuss a lot about the utility of these lights and decorations in this period of the year, everyone remaining of his opinion. My first explanation was the desire of the administration to save money to dedicate to other better benefits for the city. Correct !! Walking in the evening, I realised that an ongoing experiment was in development, that I like to name the Fairy Lights, i.e. that of the allusive, evocative communication (see the images). The experimental attempt of this experiment was evident in the content of the projected images, but it represent certainly a good start for this new type of Christmas communication. Comments are welcomed.

Vaubain at Camaret-sur-Mer

Dear Friends
I think that everybody has heard of  Sebastien Le Prestre de Vauban supreme military engeener of Louis XIV of France, the King Sun, and of his fortifications. Me too I heard something about, but never met him or one of his military constructions up to when I was in Camaret last year. Near Notre Dame de Rocamadour, the Tour Vauban imposes itself by the contrasting armony of its round and straight lines (see the images) and transmits us a hint inside the world of its talented constructor and hero of the Battle of Camaret. Comments from your side are welcomed.

Camaret-sur-Mer 2

Dear Friends
what has Rocamadour, Marian shrine on the banks of the Dordogne river (South France), with Camaret-sur-Mer (Brittany) it easy to say. The link is the precious, Breton, gothic jewel of Notre Dame of Rocamadour, the Camaret's Marian maritime sanctuary. Its modest but vigorous architecture incarnates the simplicity and the faith of the sailors and fischermans of this part of  Brittany and, as evident from the ex-votos hanging from the church walls and ceiling (see the images), the prays to the Holy Virgin of Rocamadour saved many lives of those caught at sea by storms.

Camaret-sur-Mer 1

Dear Friends
worthy of an abstract art museum is the rest place of old fishing boats in Camaret sur Mer (Brittany - FR) - see the images. Similar, in its differencies, to many others on the coasts of Brittany (see in this blog: boats cemetery) it conveys contrasting sentiments of gloom for the end of adventurous sailors and fischermans lives and admiration for their nautical skills and knowledges. Comments from your sde are welcomed.

Writing & First Light

Dear Friends
after one year spent to fight against the adversities of life, you and me as well, we deserved gifts. In this Christmas Season, don't let only to others the duty to provide us with gifts, but let us make gifts to ourselves. In my case, I was inspired in seeing the Digital Microscope Camera 1432537/USB . User friendly in installation and use it allowed, in its first light, the writing ink pixels to reveale themselves (see the images). After this successfull first light, many other successive light are looking for the Camera. I am sure. Comments from your side are welcomed.
Merry Christmas & Happy 2017

Natale in Piazza

Dear Friends
coming for shopping in the downtown, last Sathurday, I remained really astonished in seeing the Parlor of Verona full beyond any belief (see the images). The reason ? The Mercatini di Natale, arrived this year at the level of the most famous Christkindlmarkt or Weinachtenmarkt of the major European cities. Revival of christianised ancient, pagan festivals celebrating around the Winter Solstice the aboundance delivered by a passed good year and a promising new good year just at begin. This a breathable atmosphere on the Parlor, inviting to enjoy a sweet moment without worries.
Salutations
