El Campesino explains both the agricultural and pastoral world of the old Lanzarote and the  Cesar Manrique art world. White as the inhabited Lanzarote country (and now also city) houses, he shows his robust and thin body among his dog and herds. Comments from your side are welcomed.

Sun Dog

Dear Friends

the land of Lanzarote, as you have seen, reserves many satisfactory subjects as well as its sky. Raising the eyes to it, I remarked a single one of the two Sun Dogs. Shaped as a Comet with a refracted colour head toward the Sun and a white tail, it was preceeded by a possible single, curved Rainbow. A Lanzarotian art expression? Certainly yes.

Wine & Cactus

walking in the cactus garden of El Grifo, I asked myself about the reason of putting cactus together with vineyards. Only embellishment of the site or for a deeper reason ? Maybe it resides in the grapes or bunches that decorated both the species (see the images).

Etno & wines

Dear Friends

Ethnology and Oenology, not to be confused with Ethology, ideally fuse in the Wine Museum at El Grifo winery near Saint Bartholomé in Lanzarote. The devices and instruments (see the images) indicate quality in the production, but I am happy of my visite it because they reminded me that wine, avoiding exagerations, open barriers deep in each of us and predisposes to a friendly approach with the other. Comments are welcomed.

Lanza flowers

Dear Friends

no trees, only some Arecacea here and ther, shrubberies and Cactuses . However, although in winter, due to its low latitude, flowers manifested themselves in Lanza. Their shape and colours alterated the generally dark, gray landscape in a more pleasant situation, allowing the eyes to dream.
