last Sunday 07/04/2013 took place the announced M.Polo excursion to Bochum (DE). Participants were Jean-Luc and me. Goals of the excursion were the visit of the Deutsches Bergbau Museum (DBM) ( http://www.bergbaumuseum.de/index.php?page=1 ) and its temporary exhibition Unbekanntes Kasachstan ( http://www.unbekanntes-kasachstan.de/Home ). The DBM clearly manifests, as the Deutsches Museum here in Munich, the pride of the Germans for their technological achievements. Presented in the halls are full scale mining devices, the underground shows full scale mining tunnels with the devices used by the miners, the mining tower offer superb visions of Bochum and its environs.
