Dear Friends
this time I found the port of Brest (France) more sad than before. The maritime trafic and consequently the importance of the port decreased. A green, metal fence strongly excludes, for security reasons, the public access to piers and docks nowadays little vibrant because of the servicing of few berthed ships. Guip's yard or Chantier du Guip on the Quai du Commandant Malbert is an exception because of its fervent and earnest activity (see the images) of construction, careening
and restoration. Because of the engagement of masters and workers, I limited myself to document their maritime art through images without posing questions, even though I had.
Salutations
Giancarlo
