don't be afraid to travel in Japan. All what is needed is a Rail Pass for the whole Japan rail net and a Pasmo
or similar card for the town public transports. To be lost is very difficult because travel information are clear, repeated and redundantly displayed anywhere. In extreme cases, friendly people can help also before setting out questions. My visit to the Hakone - Mount Fuji park was supported by these means which given me access to the Shinkansen, the Hakone-Tozan train, the Hakone Ropeway and the Lake Ashi ferry. Gora
(strange name for a Japanenese locality, coming probably from Slavic substantives like Russ. гора (mount), Bulg. горска, Slova. horský, Slove. gorsko, Belar. гара - A Slavic presence in Japan in ancient times ?) revealed the regional unceased sulfur activity and Gotemba, at the end, revealed Mount Fuji in all its majesty.
Salutations
Giancarlo
