Chiemsee sundials

Dear Friends
yesterday I have had the occasion to visit with the colleagues of my Directorate the Herren Insel on the Chiemsee here in Bavaria:
http://www.wikivoyage.org/de/Chiemsee
and let me say that I was delight in discovery on the fassade of the old Augustiner Abbey two very interesting sun dials. Later on at Prien, on the bord of the Chiemsee I have seen another, modern sundial. I send you the images of the sundials. Any comment from your side is welcomed.

The following images give you an impression of a particular kind of statuary of the ancient Greece (Aegina) and information about the kind of restauration interventions made on it.

Breton Statuary

Dear Friends
Brittany (FR) is not certainly renowned for his statuary. However, in visiting the Daoulas Abbey in Finistère (FR), I have had the opportunity to see that the Breton statuary, both religious and secular, is of great value as you can see from the following images. Specific of the Breton statuary is its simplicity, severity and celticity.

Back to work

Dear Friends
welcome back from holidays. In my case I was in Brittany (FR) and I made several excursions. I visited the Castles of Pignerolle (Maine et Loire) and Kerjean (Bretagne). The first one hosts the Communication Museum (Musée de la Communication) and the second one presents restored interiors hosting temporary arts exhibitions. But I think that I was luky in seen during one excursion the indication of the dolmen (allée couverte) of Ribl a very ancient and impressive construction probably used as burial site. I send you some image of said castles and dolmen.
