Catholicism in Bavaria II - the Procession

Dear Friends

after the Corpus Christi Mass , cardinal Marx directed the Procession on the roads of Munich during which I interrogated myself about its birth. I realised that, at least in my knowlede, none of the other major world religions has such kind of ceremony (see the images) and maybe it was mutuated by the Roman triumph in which a joyful, victorious army followed his triumphant chief. The procession ended with of a short sermon of cardinal Marx who reminded that we were trampling the Nazis loved Königsplatz, followed by the long-awaited blessing . The invitation of Cardinal Marx to prosecute the feast in the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere of a Biergarten was well received by the faithfuls.

Catholicism in Bavaria - I - the Mass

Dear Friends
the suggestion of Galja to attend the Fronleichnamfest (Corpus Christi) 2017 feast here im Munich, revealed a real occasion to probe various Bavarian Catholicism aspects and symbols both civil and religious (see the images) rotating around the Holy Mass . The cardinal Reinhardt Marx (not to be confused with Karl Marx founder of the historical materialism) in his homily  or sermon reminded the obligation for the catholics to be open to the exigences of the other in our times marching faster and faster. To my surprise, no final blessing was imparted. But it was immediatly clear that it was reserved to another moment of the feast.

Spring Flowers - self-hypnosis

Dear Friends

I accepted gladly the suggestion of our Galja to walk in the country near Munich, nothwithstanding the leaden sky with dark clouds saying "walk at your own risk". However, they denied to unleash the attended floud and let place only to sporadic light drizzles cheered by rapid flights of bird. This let open the way to whatch the last flowers of spring (see the images). The flowers, although silently, dialogate with the subconscious in each of us, placing it in a quiete state ideal for self-hypnosis. Helps in identify the flowers and the insects are welcomed.
