Freiburg (DE) - Münster 02 - organs

Dear Friends
the Münster of Freiburg (DE) hosts four important organs. The Chororgel of Gothic aspect, a bit isolated from the other, the Langhausorgel suspended in the empty space of the main nave, the Michaelsorgel black and polychrome at the same time above the entrance and the Marien- Hauptorgel of modern and squared aspect between nave and apse.  I am happy to have the possibility to present you the rich compositions of each one of these organs: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orgeln_des_Freiburger_M%C3%BCnsters .
Any comment from your side is welcomed.

Freiburg (DE) - Münster 01 - polychrome glass windows

Dear Friends
the Münster or Dom of Freiburg (DE) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freiburg_Minster ) is interesting from many points of view. First of all its imposing but elegant Gothic architecture characterised by the elevated frontal bell tower, the lateral arches supporting the external walls and the luminous elongated inner aisles. The polychrome glass windows, presenting clearly readable scenes of the New Testament, attracted immediately our attention, and in my opinion contribute with their colours to substantiate the sense of elevation towards the Paradise typical of the Gothic style of the Münster. Any comment from your side is welcomed.

Weihnachtsmarkt - Freiburg (DE)

Dear Friends
it is a common tradition, in many towns of Germany, to host in their main places the Weihnachtsmarkt. Freiburg ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freiburg_im_Breisgau ), the second town in our M.Polo excursion of last Sunday, makes no exception. The nice artefacts offered, the possibility to eat and drink a good glass of Gluhwein ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gl%C3%BChwein ) attract many visitors also from outside Freiburg and offer an atmosphere of peace, joy and relaxation as testified by the following images.

Gods Empire

Dear Friends
last Sunday thank to the perfect organisation by Jean-luc took place our announced last 2013 M.Polo excursion to Karlsrühe (DE) and Freiburg (DE). In Karlsrühe we visited the exhibition Imperium der Götter. Isis - Mithra - Christus. The exhibition, through many remarkable artefacts, describes, among the minor others, the three main religions of the late Roman empire:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithra
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus
which although having different origins and origin places (Egypt, Persia, Palestine) shared several common elements in particular: purifications, liturgical celebrations with community meal. Considering in particular the cult of Mithra, I observed and Jean-Luc confirmed that the Mithraic initiation of the adepts, the temple and the degrees of knowledge have correspondences in the present Masonic rituals. At the end both us were satisfied of the high quality of the exhibition and of the knowledge gained. Please, have a look to the images and tell me your opinion.
Merry Christmas and Happy 2014

yesterday at 17:15 took place the announced M.Polo public Lecture: Poznan (PL) and IMC 2013 at room 2450 EPO PH in Munich. In the first part of the Lecture I presented the marked religiosity of the inhabitants of the town, the Barock style of its churches which suggests the Paradise, the magnificent ancient Sudan artefacts collections of its Archaeological Museum, its monumental Cathedral preserving in its cripta the ancient church which hosted the rests of Miesko I first Christian king of Poland. In the second part I presented the International Meteor Conference 2013 held in the town, I attended with an intervention concerning the radio meteor observations performed here in Munich. In the second part emphasis was put on the meteor collection of the Geology Institute of the University and on the visit of the Morasko Meteor Park south to the town. I have to thank all the participants and in particular those who endured the Lecture up to the end.
