Whaling

Dear Friends
in visiting Iceland I recommend you to reach Hùsàvik. Its Whale Museum prepares you for an eventful Atlantic adventure, worthy of the whalers in the pursuit of Moby Dick, the white whale:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moby-Dick . One tipp: the rapid appearance/disappearance of a whale in the waves don't let you the time to zoom and directly image it.Thus simply aim the camera to the cetacean and take as many images as possible. You can extract the whale, as in the following images, through the trimming features of the camera itself or by image treatment.

Embracing rainbow

Dear Friends
Iceland waterfalls are numerous and spectacular. They suggests the usual landscape met by the colonisers of Europe at the end of the last Ice Age. One among all, at Skògafoss hosts a unique double rainbow: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow . I already a met a double rainbow, see on the blog: http://m-polo.blogspot.de/2014/03/double-rainbow.html , but this of Skògafoss in approaching the waterfall, as you can see, it embraces the visitor.

Water explosions

Dear Friends
let me say that I am particularly satisfied of my holiday in Iceland last week, both for the natural phenomenons and cultural aspects I watched. Geysers is one of the most common Iceland natural phenomena. The one in the following images is the 5 min. regular one that gave the name of these water explosions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geyser#Iceland  If you watch a geyser be sufficiently far from it to completely frame its amplitude and to have the wind coming behind of you.

Landwuhrden, S3-6 - Old Lokos in Munich

Dear Friends
let me say that old steam locomotives passionate me. During my journeys by train, sometime, but unfortunately rarely, I was gratified in meeting some of them still at work. Therefore, when I realised that maybe some of them could be seen at the Verkehrszentrum in Münich http://www.deutsches-museum.de/en/verkehrszentrum/information, I have not hesitated to visit it. Although primarily dedicated to other vehicles, it actually presents two superb pieces of old locomotives which can be appreciated in all their details. Please let me have your feedback.

Wünschelmatrix

Dear Friends
the Boris Petrowsky's idea of the Wüschelmatrix is excellent: http://on1.zkm.de/zkm/stories/storyReader$8280. It permits to remove the cold statics manifested by practically all the art pieces. It allows the visitors to play with Wün.. A swirl of emotion, induced by the visitors to Wün. and induced by Wün to them through its coloured reply messages, this is Wünschelmatrix. The only regret, in my opinion, is that  the location of Wün in the Munich Main Station - Hauptbahnhof:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%BCnchen_Hauptbahnhof was not well chosen. Many travellers saw Wün., but few had the time to remain few minutes for playing with it.
