gargoyles in Landerneau

Dear Friends
although the church of Saint Houardon in Landerneau instead of communicating the elevation toward the sky typical of its Gotich style rather suggests solidity and deep rooting to the earth, it is remarkable for its spectacular collection of gargoyles. Because of their twisted bodies these gargoyles give the impression of an agressive screaming pack of monsters expanding towards the outside of the body of he church. This collection certainly further enriches our knowledge (see the images) about the art of the gargoyles already improved by the recent visits of the Augustiner Museum - see in this blog:
