Spitzbergen - Happy New Year

I said that our visit to Spitsbergen was "... not crowned by the meeting with polar bears and northern lights", however it is true that it was characterised by an atmosphere of tranquillity and relaxation crowned by a sumptuous Saint Sylvester dinner, accompanied by adequate wines, and a spectacular start of the year fireworks. It is sad that the fragrance of the dinner and the bursts of the fireworks cannot yet be transmitted you throug the blog.
