what a surprise! Also in Korea: Gargoyles (see in this blog: Herford, Magdeburg, Osnabruck, Freiburg, Landerneau, Munich). Living just on the roofs, as in Korea as outside, they were not simply architectural elements, but rather protective spirits of the just underlying building, temple or church. Still more, their common roof Habitat suggests that the attended menaces (may be winds, storms, thunderbolts or others worse) came from the sky. Comments are welcomed.
