Botero Superstar

Dear Friends
I am particularly satisfied of this, not yet terminated, weekend. Walking around in Verona I came across to Fernando Botero at the AMO museum. I regretted to have my Coolpix 9700 at home, but I realised the image opportunity offered by my S7 Galaxy; and this is the first M.Polo post containing only S7 images. At my question about images a surveillant, smiling, replyed that it iwas allowed provided that no flash was used. I have to prise this decision by the organizers that made possible to have a close look to the Botero's art (see the images). Botero's world, nothwithstanding the influences of various possible predecessors, appears simple, unmistakable in the round and aboundant forms of the subjects, so as to instill a calm and peaceful vision of the life. Comments are welcomed.

Munichshow - Fluorite

Dear Friends
in the past, different morphologies of minerals have been analized in details (see in this blog: Aragonite and Meteorites). If normally is the light that plays with the minerals, reveaing unusual shapes, Fluorite, at the Munichshow, shows that is the mineral that plays with the crossing light, revealing unsuspected shapes/colours armonies (see the images).

Munichshow - Fossils

Dear Friends
It is a pleasure to share some of my impressions about the last Munichshow or Mineralientage here in Munich. The tropical aquatic fauna is certainly fascinating for everybody, but its far past existence still more. The frame of it presented there, although fragmentarily (see the images), suggests that the aquatic life in a tropical lagoon or reef of million of years ago (see also in this blog: Messel Lagoon-before-time) was as coloured, peaceful and dangerous as that of today. Comments are welcomed.

Feather

Dear Friends
it is not always the case of not to wake up a sleeping dog. In case of my sleeping MS-01, it involved  uncertainties about its still correct working, lack of skills for operating it and lack of insights inside the nature around us. A feather, found on the floor, allowed the remedy this sleeping situation and to overcome with pleasure all said drawbacks (see the images).
