Korea observations

Dear Friends

some of you asked me if, in my journey, I would have visited North Korea. I always replyed no, but this actually was not exactly true. From the Odusan Unification Observatory and the Dora Observatory, I actually visited North Korea, or its portion accessible to my Coolpix 9700. The landscape is peaceful, agricultural; with villages of few houses and without illumination, asphalted roads and vehicles (see the images); the impression a bit sad. Comments from your side are welcomed.

Dear Friends

not advertised as it deserves, Korea was my dream after China and Japan for completing my general culture about the fabolous Far East. Like a modern Marco Polo, I flew on his path up to the Korea gate (see the images). As in the past, I tried a direct Lufthansa flight, estimating that the possible higher ticket price compensates for the avoidance of aiport tranfers to other flights. Don't be afraid for the at least ten hours flight, the time passes quickly in watching take-off and landing, one or more film, the flight progress, playing Chess and tasting good food and Wines.

Partial Moon - Landing

Dear Friends

on 16-17th  July the Moon with a spectacular, Germany visible, partial Eclipse (see the images) celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 20th July 1969 human landing of Apollo 11. I remember perfectly that evening, 50 years ago. After dinner, unaware of the incoming event, a neighbor invited my mother and me to spend some hours of the warm July evening at the fresh nearby Porta Vescovo side gardens in my Verona. I was there by bycicle and while the two ladies sitting on a bench dialogated, I ran around the fountain with my bycicle so fast to be reprimanded by the people for my excessive velocity. Although I have forgotted the event, I ran back home fastly, arriving just in time to assist to the landing final phases. Few minutes more and I would have missed the event. Miniature Love

Dear Friends

black stone among thausends of grays. Moving ? Then, certainly not a stone. Black, yellow and white bands! Thus, Bombus terrestris. Not alone and in love as confirmed a close vision (see the images). A brief moment for fixing the meeting and leave to not perturbate them.

Sundial - Humboldtstrasse

Dear Friends

it is longtime from my last presentations of sundials (see in this blog: Chiemsee, Augsburg, Moulay Ismail). This is because often they mask themselves in the the landscape and don't always want to be recognized. This was exactly the situation, yesterday, in Humboldtstrasse here in München, in waiting for a bus. But, strangely, the sundial jumped out from the landscape directly in my eyes. Configured as classic, its Sun, smiling but frowning, indicates the light as source of each day and its motion as source of time. Comments from your side are welcomed.
