Moscow - Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics

Dear Friends
last week I was in Moscow for attending the 3rd Regional Conference: Pre-Cyrillic Slavic Writing and Pre-Christian Russian Culture at the State University of Management ( http://www.guu.ru/info.php?id=554 ) in which I presented an intervention devoted to the decyphering of the inscriptions on the Tablets of Tartaria (Rumania). But, before the Conference, I had the time to visit some museums in the town. Probably the most impressive I visited is the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. It presents, following a chronological order, full scale models of Cosmos satellites, Moon landers, Venus and Mars probes as well as Vostock, Voskhod, Salut, Soyuz space vehicles. The museum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorial_Museum_of_Astronautics

illustrates well the deep interest and involvement of the former Soviet Union and today's Russia in the space exploration.
Salutations
Giancarlo
