Roman Volubilis - Morocco

Dear Friends
I was newly fascinated, as the first time, in walking through the abandoned and isolated Roman Volubilis, edificated, for strategic reasons, at the end of the Roman world. All the Roman urbanistic elements are present: the Basilica and the Capitol home of deities, the Forum and the Domus , the Decumano and Cardo  max, the Triumphal Arch of Caracalla . Apparently, only the Amphitheatre is missing, although, due to its oval shape, I think to have discovered its ruins, through Flash Earth, about hundert meters West from the Forum, in a partially excavated area. The prosperity of Volubilis was supported by the commerce of olive oil and wild animals (see in this blog Piazza Armerina 1 and Piazza Armerina 2) and is eloquently testified by the richness of its mosaics (see the images). Any comment is welcomed.
Salutations
Giancarlo
