it is true. In the past Adige was much more than today involved in the life of Verona. Many times (43 in the sixteen cen., 59 in the seventeen cen. and 4 in the nineteenth cen.) it did not miss to provide the city with its dangerous embracement. The most powerful was that of 1882. Its memory is practically lost but the State Archive perpetuate it again (see the images). Aware of this, the city evolution is much better appreciable. Comments are welcomed.
