as you know, I willingly visit Ljubljana (Slovenia) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ljubljana ) because of its annual Conference about the Ancient European Settlers and the cultural events proposed by the town. The theme of life in waters approached previously (see in this blog: http://m-polo.blogspot.de/2014/06/fishes-isar.html ), I have found thoroughly dealt with by Life Treasures of our Waters dedicated to the living species in rivers and lakes of Slovenia and the successful efforts of the government and popular organisations for preserving their habitat.
