it is ceratinly the case to ascend the bell tower of the cathedral of S.ta Maria Assunta https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torcello_Cathedral in Torcello for having an idea of what is a lagoon and specifically the lagoon of Venice. Clearly, you can also ascend the most famous bell tower of the Basilica of St. Marc https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Mark%27s_Campanile but the perception of the lagoon is altered by a long waiting before to ascend and the crush of people on the top of this bell tower. On the bell tower of in Torcello I enjoyed solitude and a body of water in which human activities quietly and harmoniously mix with the nature.
