Drone to catch lichens and ants

Dear Friends
the sad view at home of the superb gift of a quadricopter Blade 180 QX HD http://www.amazon.de/BLADE-180-QX-HD-RTF/dp/B00G5AX1YQ never used after months, finally prompted me to fly it for new explorations and discoveries. The first flight, last Saturday, at the parking of the Gewerbegebiet OS Hochtechnologie in Ottobrunn
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geschichte_Ottobrunns  (in German) was concluded by a disastrous landing in which one motor was detached from the support structure. But fortunately, quickly repaired by our Etienne and battery re-loaded, it was ready today morning for a new 10 min. flight, this time quite successful. The flight's instructions are clear but let much to learn by oneself. I learned that if the quadricopter flights to high and/or too far a landing is essential. My procedure consists in drastically  reducing the gaz to allow a rapid vertical descent completed by a further increasing before of closing it for allowing a smooth landing. Any comment on my landing procedure are welcome. One of such landing was near white lichens on some trees, the other close to the entrances of one ant nest. Not bad as initial discoveries.
Salutations
Giancarlo
