Paskue Veronexi - Parade

Dear Friends
the Pasque Veronesi (Veronese Easterns) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veronese_Easter took place in April 1797, but I was lucky in Verona last Sunday to enjoy their replica. I noted surprise and bewilderment in the tourists and also in citizen of Verona unaware of the replica meaning but also interest for enlarge the knowledge for including one of the most bloody event of Verona history. The Parade took place in Piazza delle Erbe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piazza_delle_Erbe animated by Venetian soldiers in black uniforms, Veronese soldiers in jellow-blue uniforms and Slavonian soldiers in red uniforms- The Venetian Republic flag was hoisted and a young recruit swear fidelity invoking the Trinity as witness. I apologize for the lot of images, but I think it is necessary for appreciating the event.
Salutations
Giancarlo
